Report: Russia can make 2 bln doses of COVID-19 vaccines in 2022
MOSCOW, Nov 22 (PRIME) -- Russia may ramp up its COVID-19 vaccine capacities to 2 billion doses in 2022, Industry and Trade Minister Denis Manturov said on November 20 in a TV show aired on the Rossiya 1 television channel.
“We have a stock, we already export the product and we are capable of reaching the production level of 2 billion (doses of anti-coronavirus vaccines) next year,” he said.
“As of today, more than 100 million vaccines were introduced in the civil circulation. The amount includes the two-component Sputnik V, the light one (Sputnik Light), and other vaccines registered in Russia. Until the end of the year, a total of 300 million doses will be produced.”
